Portable Fire Extingusiher

A portable fire extinguisher is a device used to extinguish small fires in their early stages. It is designed to be easily carried and operated by an individual. There are different types of portable fire extinguishers, each suitable for specific classes of fires.

Dry chemical extinguishers are filled with a dry chemical powder that interrupts the chemical reaction of the fire. There are different types of dry chemical extinguishers, such as ABC extinguishers (suitable for Class A, Class B, and Class C fires) and BC extinguishers (suitable for Class B and Class C fires). Dry chemical extinguishers are versatile and widely used.

CO2 extinguishers discharge carbon dioxide gas, which displaces oxygen and starves the fire of its fuel. They are effective for Class B and Class C fires, which involve flammable liquids and electrical equipment, respectively. CO2 extinguishers do not leave any residue and are safe for use on delicate equipment.

These extinguishers contain water and are suitable for Class A fires involving ordinary combustible materials like wood, paper, and cloth. They work by cooling the fire and reducing its heat.

Foam extinguishers discharge a foam solution that forms a blanket over the fire, smothering it and preventing re-ignition. They are suitable for Class A and Class B fires, which involve flammable liquids like gasoline, oil, or solvents.

Wet chemical extinguishers contain a special solution that reacts with cooking oils and fats, creating a soapy foam that cools and extinguishes the fire. They are primarily used in commercial kitchens for fires involving cooking oils (Class F fires). They may also have a Class A rating, making them suitable for other common fires as well.

Trolley Mounted Fire Extinguisher

A trolley-mounted fire extinguisher is a larger and more mobile version of a portable fire extinguisher. It consists of a fire extinguisher unit mounted on a wheeled trolley or cart, making it easier to transport and maneuver compared to a traditional handheld extinguisher.

Dry powder trolley extinguishers contain a dry chemical powder and can be used on Class A, Class B, and Class C fires. They are versatile and effective for extinguishing fires involving various materials and flammable gases.

CO2 trolley extinguishers discharge carbon dioxide gas and are suitable for Class B and Class C fires. They are commonly used for fires involving flammable liquids and electrical equipment. CO2 extinguishers do not leave any residue and are safe for use on delicate equipment.

These trolleys are equipped with water-filled extinguishers and are suitable for tackling Class A fires involving ordinary combustible materials like wood, paper, and cloth.

Foam trolley extinguishers discharge a foam solution and are effective for extinguishing Class A and Class B fires. They are suitable for fires involving flammable liquids like gasoline, oil, or solvents.

Wet chemical trolley extinguishers are primarily designed for use in commercial kitchens and are effective for Class F fires involving cooking oils and fats. They may also have a Class A rating, making them suitable for other common fires as well.

Clean agent trolley extinguishers use non-conductive and non-corrosive extinguishing agents, such as Halon alternatives like HFC-227ea or FM-200. They are suitable for protecting valuable equipment, data centers, or other areas where water or other extinguishing agents could cause damage.
